Creating backups Print

For cPanel servers this is as simple as taking a backup of individual cPanel accounts as detailed here: https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/files/backup-for-cpanel/

cPanel also provides the functionality to take scheduled backups of all cPanel accounts and system data via the use of the "Backup Configuration" tool in WHM, this is detailed here: https://docs.cpanel.net/whm/backup/backup-configuration/

This feature will also enable you to configure an Additional Destination to locations such as:

  • Amazon S3™
  • Backblaze B2
  • SFTP
  • Google Drive™
  • WebDAV with the SSL Enabled setting

Like cPanel, we recommend that you only transfer backup files over encrypted connections, which the above are suitable for. Of course you’ll need to ensure you have sufficient disk space in order to stage and/or store the backup files.
